| You'll absolutely love these unique and highly effective vocabulary building worksheet activities. You won't find a better tool for accelerating definition learning of the difficult Grade 5 reading vocabulary words. Lessons 1-36 below provide important classroom activities to assist in reaching mastery of these 600+ new reading words. Students who master these vocabulary words (ie. can read them fluently and know the meaning) typically score in the top 10% on any Grade 5 standardized reading test. These words have been selected after in-depth analysis of the "most popular" Grade 5 textbooks used in the most successful public schools throughout the United States. There are 4 worksheets (Monday thru Thursday) included in each "VB" link below. Worksheets are typically given one per day in a school classroom setting, however, teachers and parents using the materials in a "one-on-one" tutoring setting should be able to advance at a pace of 3-4 lessons per day! | Classroom teachers should use these worksheet activities as a follow-up after teaching the daily words in our "Classroom Program." In a private tutoring or home school setting, these worksheet activities will help with solidifying word meaning after students have achieved fluency reading of the words in our ReadingKEY Student Vocabulary Builder Lists (see these free here). The words used below have been arranged in sequential order from "Most Common" at the beginning Lessons to the "Lesser Common" vocabulary words toward the end. This provides you the most efficient order for instruction throughout the school year. There are 4 worksheets per week which give you a total of 144 worksheets for the entire Grade 5 school year. Also included is a a Friday Test (FT) which teachers can use to further enhance the effectiveness of the learning process and as part of the marking period reading grade. |
